He sat in his room no the windy night,
His mind, still throbbing with freight.
So tired of being so very alone,
Waiting for a sign of life from the phone.
Though the phone did not ring,
He peered outside as he heard a bird sing.
In a tree beside his window,
He saw a letter a few branches below.
Sitting there reading this letter of admiration,
Wondering if his room was it's true destination.
Could this really be for me, he wondered with a stare,
Or could it be for someone else's lonely heart out there.
Unsure of what to think or do,
Curious to know if he dreams were coming true.
Dear love,
I'm not very sure what I should say,
Except I recieved the letter you wrote today.
It is the sweetest most beautiful thing I've ever read,
Nothing compared to your beauty, the time we are apart I dread.
I too wonder how, and when we will meet,
If the cafe, on a busy city street?
I don't know the meaning of "love at first sight,"
But I believe if I meet you, I just might.
Now the sound of your laughter I long to hear,
It must be so very sweet, a simple whisper in my ear.
I would love nothing more than to lay under the stars with you,
I can't wait too meet you one day, if only you knew.
I've waited so long to meet someone so dear,
My heart has begun to shiver with fear.
I've written my share of poetry too,
Must having been secretly dreaming of you.
Can't wait til the day that we finally meet,
After that we'll never want to be apart,
Becuase then we will have found the one,
Who completes our heart.
